Shahid Kapoor is open to teaming up with the fresher, newer talent in Bollywood. In fact, his father Pankaj Kapur is said to have just signed on Sonam for their home production Mausam.
However, reports which said that Shahid and Deepika Padukone will be a number on screen... or are a number off screen is completely untrue. The paparazzi started the rumour that Shahid was paying a secret visit to Deepika when the actor was spotted parking his car in the building complex where she stays. Two and two were then added to make 22!
However, the fact of the matters remains that Deepika hasn’t signed any film with Shahid. Nor is she friends with him as has been insinuated by a section of the media.
Reports say that Shahid was in her neighbourhood to visit filmmaker Kunal Kohli. And it become convenient for tongues to wag.
High on Deepika’s wish-list of co-stars are Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. She may even team up with Shahid somewhere down the line. But right now — Shahid and Deepika ain’t happening. Sources say that a social networking site started this whole thing on how Deepika should team up with Shahid and even specified that Karan Johar should direct the movie. Perhaps that’s why a casual visit by Shahid to Deepika’s neighbourhood got so much attention.
